Below you will find each of our Spring Program options along with registration links.

We're looking forward to a great Spring Season!

St Jude will offer a Spring Learn to Skate session April through May

• 6 Engaging sessions (no ice April 21st)
• Effective skating skills infused in the program to develop future hockey players
• Designed for players aged 3-8 (all players must be 3 years old)
• All skating sessions will be held at Southwest Ice Arena on Sundays
• Cost is $156 per player.  Early Bird Special is $132 for those registering by March 1st

St. Jude will be offering a Spring Little Knights Learn to Play session.

• 16 Fun skates (no ice April 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th & 27th)
• Designed for players born in 2013 or younger who have basic skating experience 
• ADM (American Development Model) skill and techniques integrated in to the program
• All players must have full hockey gear
• Program will meet typically 3 days per week, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from April 5th through May 19th.

• Cost is $512 per player.  Early Bird Special is $435 for those registering by March 1st 

All New to Game, 3-on-3, Tournament Team and Checking Clinic sign-ups can be found in the 2024 Spring Registrations links found below. 

This clinic is for the player that has completed St. Jude's  Little Knights Learn to Play Program or another ADM program and is ready to progress to team-play in the Spring session.  This clinic will prepare players for elements of full-ice play such as off-sides, line-ups, shift changes, rules, etc. ... while also building their endurance and stamina.

• 4 Full-ice skates
• For birth year 2018 through 2015 players who have never played on an organized team
• The class will meet at Southwest Ice Arena (SIA)
• Cost is $75 player

FUN! FUN! FUN!  This Spring take a break from clinics and structrued skates and enjoy the benefits of fast-paced 3-on-3 half-ice games where the primary emphasis is on having fun.  This recreational program will allow players to mix up their positions and work on their small ice game in a fun environment.

Spring 3-on-3 & 4-on-4 is being offered for Mite through Bantam/19U Girls players, based on Winter 2024 age brackets, plus 2018's with approval of Pre-Hockey Director, Tony Dinnocenzo (tdinnocenzo@gmail.com )

• Teams will be assigned by coaches
• Players will register as individuals
• Each team will play sixteen 25-minute games on Monday and Wednesday from March 18th through April 10th.  Each game day will consist of two games played back-to-back.  Games will be played half-ice with two games taking place simultaneously for 3-on-3 and full ice for our 4-on-4 sessions with our older players. 
• Cost is $175 per skater,  $75 Goalie

As an alternative to Spring League Play, St. Jude will also offer Spring Tournament Teams.  Players from our NWHL (House League), NIHL (Travel League) and CUHL (Mite hockey) are encouraged to participate in our tournament teams.  We will be offering Travel Teams as well as House level teams based on skill and tryout participation.

Spring Tournament Teams provide players seeking a higher level of competition and an opportunity to compete in local tournamens during the Spring season, with minimal  commitment to allow for time for other activities.

St. Jude will sponsor tournament teams at the Mite, Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam levels and Girls Only tournament teams at the U12,  U14 and U16/19 levels.

Mites will be 2017 - 2016 birth years.  Squirts will be 2015 - 2014 birth years.  PeeWees will be 2013 & 2012 birth years.  Bantams will be 2011 & 2010 birth years.  Girls teams will range from 2015 - 2005 birth years.

• Each tournament team will play in 2 local tournaments
• Each team will get at least 3-4  practices prior to each tournament
• All participants must be willing to commit to BOTH tournaments
• Tournament team fee will NOT be prorated
• Cost is $575 per player, $290 per Goalie

All players, regardless of level, skill or regular season club must attend tournament team tryouts to be placed on a Spring Tournament team.

Tryout Fee: $75 (is included in team fee pricing and is due upon registration)

All first year Bantam players (2011's) MUST attend at least two checking clinics before they begin game play in the 2024 Spring Tournament season.

Checking clinics are run by St. Jude travel hockey coaches along with additional St. Jude instructors

Checking Clinics will feature the following concepts:

• Proper balance and stance in order to receive a check and give a check
• Use of the boards to brace yourself when being checked
• Proper angles to use when checking

Proper technique to give and receive  check:

• Hand and stick down!
• Keeping your head up and not ducking of leaning into the boards            

This clinic is recommended for all bantams and second year peewees.  Players will be paired up by size when checking.  Cost of the clinic is $50 per 2hrs for current St. Jude players; $100 per 2hrs for non-club members.  Players must complete at least 2 hours of checking clinics prior to any bantam game.
