With the Fall/Winter hockey season nearing its end we are excited to release our 2023 Spring Program!
Below you will find each of our spring program options along with registration links. 

St. Jude will offer a spring Learn to Skate session in April through May.

7 engaging sessions (no ice April 9th & 23rd)

Effective skating skills infused in the program to develop future hockey players

Designed for players aged 3-8.  (all players must be 3 years old)

All skating sessions will be at Southwest Ice Arena on Sundays. 

Cost is $98 per player.  Early Bird Special is $70 for those registering by March 1st.

St. Jude will be offering a spring Little Knights Learn to Play session.

20 fun skates (no ice April 9th & 21st-23rd)

Designed for players born in 2012 or younger who have basic skating experience.

ADM (American Development Model) skill and techniques integrated into the program.

All players must have full hockey gear.

Program will meet typically 3 days per week, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from March 31st through May 21st.  Exact schedule to be available soon.

This clinic is for the player that has completed St. Jude's Little Knights Learn to Play program or another ADM program and is ready to progress to team-play in the spring season.  This clinic will prepare players for elements of full-ice play such as off-sides, line-ups, shift changes, rules, etc... while also building their endurance and stamina.

4 full-ice skates

for birth year 2017 through 2013 players who have never played on an organized team

The class will meet on the following nights at Southwest Ice Arena (SIA)

Cost is $50 per player.

FUN! FUN! FUN!  This spring take a break from clinics and structured skates and enjoy the benefits of fast-paced 3-on-3 half-ice games where the primary emphasis is on having fun.   This recreational program will allow players to mix up their positions and work on their small ice game in a fun environment.

Spring 3-on-3 is being offered for Mite through Bantam/19U Girls players, based on Winter 2023 season age brackets, plus 2017's.

There will be 3 levels of play, and 4 teams per level, so space is limited.

Teams will be assigned with balanced abilities.  Teams will be assigned by Tom Stanislavski, Tony Dinnocenzo and John Harkins.

Players will register as individuals.

Each team will play sixteen 25-minute games on Monday and Wednesday from March 20th and April 12th. Each game day will consist of two games played back-to-back.  Games will be played half-ice with two games taking place simultaneously

Cost is $100 per skater, $50 per goalie.

Open to all 10U and 12U Girls, birth years 2014-2011, this free skate is designed to help foster the growth of girls hockey. Join our Illinois ranked #3 - 12U Girls on the ice March 19th for a skills skate and scrimmage match. Our premier girls program is looking to continue on the many successes of this past season and looking forward to another year of GREAT success.

All players, regardless of level, skill or regular season club, must attend tournament team tryouts to be placed on a spring tournament team.

Tryout Fee - $50 (is included in team fee pricing and is due upon registration)

All first year bantam players (2010’s) MUST attend at least two checking clinics before they begin game play in the 2023 Spring Tournament Season.

Checking clinics are run by St. Jude travel hockey coaches along with additional St. Jude instructors.

Checking clinics will Feature the following concepts:

• Proper balance and stance in order to receive a check and give a check

• Use of the boards to brace yourself when being checked

• Proper angles to use when checking

• Proper technique to give and receive a check:

  • Hand and stick down!

  • Keeping your head up and not ducking or leaning into the boards

This clinic is recommended for all bantams and second year peewees. Players will be paired up by size when checking. Cost of the clinic is $50 per player, $25 to repeat clinic participants, players must complete at least 2 hours of checking clinics prior to any bantam game.

This spring our renowned goalie instructors will be offering a 3-day spring goaltender development camp at Southwest Ice Arena. 

The on-ice camp is designed to improve players' agility, coordination, stance, technique and concentration. With emphasis placed upon the proper technique for covering angles and the importance of correct position in the net. Goalies receive the highest quality instruction with a low student-to-instructor ratio to allow each goalie time to practice their specific talents and needs. Registration is limited and spots will fill up fast.

The camp fee is $165 for all 3 sessions & runs April 17th-19th at Southwest Ice Arena from 6:00-7:00pm.
